Priest in Charge: Willenhall Saint Giles

We are looking for a priest who will lead a strong committed congregation with enthusiasm in order that we continue to build God’s kingdom in Willenhall. Located in the West Midlands with excellent access to the M6 and multiple transport networks to Birmingham, opportunities for a  successful and fruitful ministry can be achieved here.

We are a church full of love, with diverse cultures, excellent lay leadership and an openminded PCC. The successful priest will be supported in God’s mission in our town. The creation of St Giles Church Centre is an exciting project that we hope will draw us even closer to the community and grow our congregation.

The vicarage is a spacious and  comfortable home with 4 bedrooms and easy access to the town centre.

We are praying for a priest who will:

  • Share their own faith, be passionate and help us to build sustainable mission within the community, promoting further diversity and inclusivity.
  • Lead us in worship, especially in the strong sacramental tradition which is the foundation of our shared life in Christ but also help us to broaden our range of services to broaden our appeal.
  • Support and encourage leaders of the multiple groups within St Giles and deepen existing links with the neighbouring school.
  • Support and lead a project manager who will be responsible for creating St Giles Church Centre.

All applicants should normally have 3 years’ experience in the Church of England or another Anglican church in the British Isles.
