Resources about LGBT+ issues

There are many video resources online to help churches have good conversations about LGBT+ issues.

The Church of England’s Living in Love and Faith teaching and learning resources, explore questions of human identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage, were launched in 2020. Read more about Living in Love and Faith in our diocese.



Living Out tells the stories of Christians who "express same sex attraction and seek to stay faithful to biblical teaching on sexual ethics and flourish at the same time." Anne's story below is one of several on their website.


Teenager Lizzie Lowe took her own life in 2014 because after struggles with her faith and sexuality.In the video below, the Rector at her church in Didsbury, Nicholas Bundock, is interviewed by the Revd John Bell of the Iona Community as he talks about Lizzie and her legacy on their church. There are reflective questions for church groups at the end.
