We're sorry you haven't found what you're looking for. We are aware of some quirks from the interplay of material migrated from our previous website and the algorithms and options in this new platform, and are working with the developers to improve and bug-fix.
If putting some key words in the Search facility (in the box at the top-right corner of every page including this one) hasn't delivered an answer, please use the form below which we will try to direct to someone who can solve your query.
If you're trying to access a link that looks like multiplewordsruntogether or words_joined_by_underscores, try inserting hyphens-between-the-words instead: we're in an ad hoc upgrade process to both make links easier to read and understand, and to conform with the requirements for new content on this website platform that we transferred into in 2020.
We require certain details so we can take your query seriously, and hopefully reply with the answer to your query.
Sometimes, commerical search engines can find things this server can't: you may find this a helpful thing to put into google.co.uk:

Family and parish history
One thing you won't find on the diocesan website are parish registers of baptisms, marriages and burials. These parish records, if not still with the parish church, are almost all cared for on our behalf by the Staffordshire Archives (for Staffordshire parishes) and Shropshire Archives (for Shropshire parishes) both of which have good online catalogues and helpful staff. They can also help with queries about properties, family history, local history and social history. Both offices can be visited by appointment but also offer research services for enquirers from afar.
