We seek a new Vicar for our friendly village parishes, to encourage us as we walk together to love and serve Jesus, and to build on a long tradition of reformed evangelical ministry here.
We are looking for someone who:
- affirms the Church of England Evangelical Council (CEEC) basis of faith and the additional declarations.
- is a faithful and gifted preacher and teacher of God’s word.
- is friendly, caring, approachable, able to engage parishioners of all ages and encourage us each to walk more closely with Jesus.
- will build on what we have and develop new initiatives, especially those that will encourage children and families to be part of God’s family with us.
- will build on our existing community links to reach out to them with the love and hope of Jesus.
- will help us as Churches to develop spiritually, financially and practically.
- is able to work with those of different views whilst holding onto the truth of Scripture.
The Benefice is in a rural area on the outskirts of Newcastle-under-Lyme & Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire with excellent transport links.
St James in Audley is the largest congregation and receives Extended Episcopal Oversight from the Bishop of Ebbsfleet.
Pastoral reorganisation is planned for St Martin’s Talke to join with the Benefice of Kidsgrove.
If this opportunity is one that God might be calling you to investigate further, then we would love to hear from you.
