Liz Jermy, Chair of the Independent Safeguarding Scrutiny Panel for Lichfield Diocese, is inviting expressions of interest from people in the following professions, to join the Panel:
Are you are an existing or newly retired member of the police force, social services, from mental health services or from the teaching profession?
Do you place safeguarding as the highest priority?
Are you motivated to join the Scrutiny Panel in shaping the best practice and transparency of safeguarding, by promoting the Diocese of Lichfield’s ability to provide good and safe environments for children and vulnerable adults throughout the diocese?
Can you use your experience and skills to help fulfil its core role of providing objective, independent scrutiny, test, and challenge of the safeguarding practice of the Diocese of Lichfield?
Are you in sympathy with the ethos of the Christian faith?
Have you a few hours to spare, 4-5 times a year, to give to this vital and impactful role. Distance is no problem as meetings are held online.
