On Saturday 10th June five of our final year Lichfield Reader students gathered at the Queen’s Foundation for a farewell celebration to mark the end of 2 years’ study. They joined together with leaving Queen’s students from all of the study centres, including Anglican ordinands, Methodists and students from the Centre for Black Theology. The new Readers will be licensed at the annual service at Lichfield Cathedral on Sat 9th Sept by Right Reverend Michael Ipgrave, Bishop of Lichfield.
Pictured L to R are students Rob Vassell, Kevin Davies, Chris Beardmore, Clare Day, Clare Whitney (Lay Ministry Learning and Development Officer) and Doreen English.
Clare Whitney commented: “ This was a fabulous way to bring the Readers’ time as members of the Queen’s community to a close and to recognise the huge contribution to ministry that Readers make. The mix of lay and ordained students enriches the whole experience of ministerial formation.”
