Staff are provided with phone access through Microsoft Teams and should only use this for work purposes.
Some staff are also provided with an organisational mobile phone for work purposes:
- You have a limited data allowance so when you are in the office you should make sure that your phone uses our Wi-Fi network, instead of a data service. If you have Wi-Fi at home, please ensure that your phone is set to join your home network to minimise the use of the data service.
- Data usage is monitored regularly and should be used only for work. Please be reasonable in using data-hungryapps on your phone when not connected to wi-fi. Data-hungry apps include video (e.g. YouTube, iPlayer), maps (e.g. Google Maps) and do be aware of downloading large attachments. We reserve the right to charge you for excessive data usage.
- The phone belongs to DBF so if you leave, you will need to return the handset and power lead which came with the phone.
- Mobile use is only permitted in the UK due to high costs in Europe and Worldwide. If you think you will need to phone and use mobile data abroad for work purposes, please contact the Finance Director before you go to make discuss a bolt-on being purchased.
