St James Church, Brownhills

Not far from the bustling High Street in Brownhills, in beautifully kept grounds, stands St James’ Church (on Church Road) which hosts it’s Place of Welcome on Tuesday morning between 10am and 12 noon, to welcome it’s local community.

The vicar at St James’ Church, Rev’d Gayle Greenway says, 'Having a Place of Welcome is very important to us at St James' because we believe that there is something very special and significant about people knowing that they can come along to a safe place where they can just be themselves and know that they are fully welcome. I pray that our Place of Welcome will provide opportunities for new friendships to be formed, as well as old ones deepened, and that through all that happens here, God's love will be made real'.

Hosts Joy, Dennis and Pauline are there weekly and invite you to join them in a relaxed and informal setting, in the foyer of the church, with free refreshments and friendly chat. St James’ Church has a real heart for the Brownhills Community and are keen to welcome everyone, young and old, so if you are passing by on the way to and from the shops, or after you have dropped the kids to school, please drop-in for a cuppa, meet new people in your community and find out what’s happening in the local area. Joy, Dennis and Pauline have the kettle on ready and a listening ear for everyone.
