The Revd Stuart Howes and his wife along with several members of the parish welcomed people to the Place of Welcome at Christ Church, Wellington near Telford Shropshire on a chilly morning at the end of January. The warmth of the wecome was augmnented by tea, coffee and hot toast. A number of people from the parish and the local community came to take part including representatives of local charities and community groups.
His Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire, Anna Turner, was present, along with the Deputy Mayor of Wellington, Cllr Reg Snell.
There were representatives of serveral organisations which support Places of Welcome and those visiting them -from 'Read Easy' an adult literacy service and our own diocesan Dementia Friendly Service Team.
