A ton of goodness at Shropshire Churches Conference

The Shropshire Churches Conference returned this November, for the first time at the new Telford Minster premises. Church leaders and members from across the county which straddles the dioceses of Lichfield and Hereford met to hear inspirational stories and teaching including a first visit from Bishop Richard Jackson, who became bishop of Hereford just before the pandemic.

"Shropshire conference was a wonderful opportunity for people to gather, worship, go deeper and explore different areas of minstry together. There was a really buzz through out the day. Some memorable moments were seeing people from all different church backgrounds taking time to chat, make connections and share their passion in minstry together. The day was well organised with some fantastic speakers from across the church. It was wonderful to have over 100 people come to Telford Minster to explore our unchanging God in a changing world!" Steph Warrell - assistant minister, Telford Minster.

The new venue enabled various breakout sessions to take place under one roof for the first time as the Minster is part of the Meeting Point House in the heart of Telford.

Among the stories shared were videos of growth in the village of Churchstoke on the border and making full use of the environment in the forest church services of the Severn Loop parishes north of Shrewsbury:
