Enabling All - Disability

You are welcome, whether you are from a church that is interested in knowing more, or a person with a disability or a neurodivergent person, looking for information or connection to others. Within Enabling All, as part of the diocese, we want to support you to find what you need and help church communities to remove barriers, which prevent everyone playing their full part.

The work of the Enabling All team is to enable, equip and empower churches to be places of belonging by connecting with and learning from others. Through local, diocese and national partnerships (eg the Church of England's Barrier-free Belonging) we are proud to be part of the changes disabled and neurodivergent people have been calling for for generations.

We’ve learned that helping people to make small changes makes an enormous difference.

Not all disabilities or neurodivergences are visible. There is a national scheme (which uses a sunflower symbol) so people can get help where needed. We are part of this Hidden Disabilities network. We can support your church to know more and welcome everyone.

For more information and resources for specific neurodiversity and disabilities go to our Learning Together page.

There is much more wisdom and ideas in our Accessibility Resources pages. If you want to hear from us or you can’t find the information you need please email the Enabling All co-ordinator. You can also talk to us through our Enabling All Facebook page.
