Anglican Chaplain

Deadline:  13th September 2024

Email:  Joanna.hirst1@justice.gov.uk

Do you have a heart to work with women in prison to help bring hope, healing and support to rebuild their lives?

As a Prison Chaplain you will offer spiritual, pastoral and, where appropriate, religious support to those in need. You will work with colleagues as part of a multi-faith chaplaincy team to provide support, guidance, teaching and practical help to people both with and without faith, often during times of crisis or personal difficultly.

This is a part-time position with hours to be arranged but you will be required to work weekends and unsociable hours.

We are inviting applications from Ordained Priests, Deacons, Religious Brother/Sister, Lay Readers, Church Army Evangelists or other appropriately qualified or licensed ministers in the Anglican tradition (subject to the agreement of the Anglican Bishop to HM Prisons).
