The St Winefride Trail

Bishop Sarah will lead this 70-mile pilgrimage from Holywell, Wales, to Shrewsbury along the revived St WInefride Trail in April and May 2022.

The pilgrimage begins on Wednesday 20 April at St Winefride's Well, in Holywell, walking to Cilcain and then the following day walking to Llandegla - both beautiful walks in the Welsh Hills.

The next stage is on 27 April, walking from Llandegla to Llangollen. The pilgrimage route continues each week in May, with seven more daily stages, and concludes with a celebration Eucharist at Shrewsbury Abbey at 3pm on 23 May. For more details and to register your interest in joining, email stwinefridepilgrimage2022@gmail.com. Pilgrims will need to make their own travel and accomodation bookings as the organising team don't have capacity to become travel agents!
