Pelsall Ladies Choir literally helped to raise the roof through a recent concert in aid of their local church.
The group regularly sings at St Michael's and All Angels Pelsall and has generated thousands of pounds for charity forming since forming over 50 years ago. Its joint musical directors June Davenhill BEM and Susan Briggs are both members of the congregation and are actively involved with music there.
The Revd Preb Carl Ramsay, of St Michael and All Angels, received the cheque for 894.
Church warden Tim Briggs explained: "The choir has close connections with the church and the church supports the choir as it engages with the local community. The choir were delighted to be able to give this donation towards the church roof repairs."
