A Christian Bag for Life is a simple idea that comes from Steve Ryder. While training as an enabler of evangelism in the Diocese of Chelmsford, Steve realised that one of the challenges of evangelism is the initial stage: building connections and friendships with people.
As Christians, we do this on a one-to-one basis with friends and colleagues. Corporately we can be very successful in one-off local initiatives or national franchises like CAP, Foodbanks and Alpha. The Christian Bag For Life is something extra: just a Christian and a shopping bag! The wording on the bag is does the speaking, invites comment and can create conversations.
