Yasha is a small but growing Christian outreach in Stoke-on-Trent, seeking to extend hope and freedom to women involved in prostitution and other forms of sexual exploitation. We believe that prostitution is rarely, if ever, a ‘life-style choice’ and is usually symptomatic of struggles with abuse, trauma and deprivation. As such it is frequently associated with addiction and shame.
We are hoping to register as a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) in the coming months and are currently seeking to grow our existing group of trustees by recruiting additional people with a strong belief in, and attraction to, our vision, aims and values.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with any of the following skills/background:
