Deadline:  26th November 2021, 12 Noon

Our historic almshouse charity, St John’s Lichfield, dating back to the 12th century providing accommodation for older people capable of independent living is seeking a Chaplain, traditionally known within the almshouse as the Master, to join and lead our thriving community of 49 residents living over two sites in the centre of the beautiful cathedral city of Lichfield.

The Master acts as a chaplain, leading services in our Grade 1 listed Chapel, and is also responsible for the collective and individual wellbeing of the residents of the almshouse.

The Master will provide spiritual and pastoral support to the residents, staff and trustees and will be committed to the possibility of spiritual growth and development for all who seek it.

The person that we are looking for will be an ordained priest of the Church of England with at least 5 years’ experience and a people person with proven chaplaincy skills, who is passionate about building supportive and joyful relationships within our almshouse community.
