We are an active congregation, based a mile south of Newcastle under Lyme’s town centre.
Two manual pipe organ, well maintained by Sixsmith’s.
Our previous organist, Geoffrey Walker, played for both 10.45 and 6.30 services most weeks; as well as occasional offices and leading a monthly practice with our small choir too. There is the budget for someone to take on the same responsibility on similar terms, but we are also open to speaking to any reliable organist who is interested in a lesser commitment.
Though the organist’s main role will be in playing traditional hymns, an ability to accompany more contemporary music (either on the organ or our Roland electronic piano) could be a bonus – this could sometimes be in collaboration with our worship band which assists with the music at our 10.45 service twice a month.
