Parish Share during Covid-19

Parish Share during Covid-19

During the past few months we have been working hard to make sure you have all the resources and tools available through our Finance Debreifs and on the website.  As you can imagine a lot of work has been going on in the background, forecasting and managing the Diocesan Finances. Now we have reached the half way point of the year we are able to give you a clear picture of what has happened during those first difficult months and hope to keep this page up to date with different financial information and reports.

Parish Share Analysis

Every month we produce a Parish Share Analysis showing where we are in comparision to the year before  -

Parish Share Consultations

Every year during June and July the Parish Assessors meet with Archdeacons and Rural Deans and Lay Chairs to talk about parishes in their deaneries.  You all know we are living in very unusual times and this year I am writing to you personally to ask for your help to enable the Senior Staff and Officers at the diocese to accurately forecast the likely income for the remainder of the year.

We are very grateful to PCC’s for your continuing commitment to the payment of the Parish Share in this challenging time.  We continue to encourage all parishes to pay the requested Parish Share or as much as you are able to pay given the circumstances of your own church, but there is a clear recognition of the financial pressures parishes are experiencing.

If we could ask you please to complete a short survey which will help the Board assess the way parishes have responded financially to this current crisis, this would be very much appreciated.

Click here to complete the Survey. Please let us have your responses by no later than 31 July 2020
